WEST AUSTRALIAN COARSE ANGLING CLUB
Providing Western Australia's only genuine Coarse Anglers club and competitions to everyone.
WACAC AT A GLANCE
A non-profit club for all
We are Western Australia's only genuine Coarse Anglers club and proud to give new and existing members the ongoing opportunity and support to participate in this truly magnificent style of fishing.
Our club waters are located at Golden Ponds in Baldivis, Perth and is home to an abundance of coarse fish species including Carp, Koi (Up to 20lb), Silver Perch, Black Bream, Barramundi and Trout.
Most of the lakes were recently upgraded and now have a number of fishing platforms which make a substantial contribution towards a comfortable and thoroughly enjoyable fishing session.
The style of fishing we do is known as 'Match' or coarse fishing and consists of three disciplines namely Pole, Waggler/Floats and Feeder style fishing. This provides the angler with enough options to target different species or to adapt to changing weather conditions.
Having mixed disciplines also makes it very easy for newcomers to take up the sport who can then over time become more specialized in a preferred style or a master of all types of coarse angling.
FISHING MATCHES
Friendly, Fierce & Fun Fishing!

WACAC SEASONAL LEAGUES
Learn, Participate and Enjoy!
The club has a relaxed and social nature but don’t be fooled, under all those friendly smiles are some fierce competition going on. Our club is blessed to have a number of very knowledgeable and extremely capable anglers.
The healthy competition between anglers has led to an A and B league system. This serves as an inspiration for some to perform at their best but also cater for those who just enjoy having a relaxed session out with fellow anglers.
The competition weights are kept to form a seasonal series of 3-4 matches per season.

OFFICIAL COMPETITIONS
Be Part Of The Community
The official club competitions are staged into season series and take place every third Sunday. We meet in the Golden Ponds car park at 7:00 am and pegs for the individual fishing spots are drawn. Fishing officially starts at 8:15 am and finishes at 1:15 pm.
After weighing in, members usually meet at the onsite Pub / Restaurant for prize giving, friendly banter and some social fun.
We also have Social competitions and they take place on all the other Sundays. Pegs are drawn 30 minutes later at 7:30 am for these social days.
